RAYBAND
Rayband exists because the Navacerrada Bluegrass Festival exists. PedroLópez (mandolin), Raimundo Nieto (guitar, vocals), Pilar Márquez (vocals), Juan Antonio Teruel (banjo), Francis Cervera (bass, vocals) y Arturo Marugán (dobro, vocals) are very well-known musicians in the professional and amateur circuits who, from time to time, gather for some jamming and some beer, of course.
In May, Raimundo proposed the rest of the band to take part in this Festival and everybody agreed to the idea. And that's the way RayBand was born. All of them are very well experienced musicians who have been part of different bands and taken part in hundreds of recording sessions, as well as shared stage with many of the greats. Particularly in the Spanish Bluegrass world they are considered to be some of the pioneers. Most of them have taken part in previous Navacerrada Festivals with other bands as well as in international festivals.
